Description:
This Greek Revival municipal building was constructed during the mid-19th century and has served as Jackson's City Hall ever since. During the Civil War, it was used as a hospital for both Confederate and Union soldiers. It was one of three public buildings to survive the war. The Josh Halbert Garden is a formal garden plaza with fountains that boast a bronze statue of Andrew Jackson as its centerpiece. The third floor of the structure is used as a Masonic Lodge.

Description:
This classical Greek Revival structure has been the home of Mississippi's First Family since the middle of the 19th century. With beautifully landscaped grounds, it occupies an entire city block. Elegant simplicity defines the interior with its period furnishings and decor. Restorations throughout the years went to great lengths to emulate the original workmanship. Tours are given every half hour.

This century old structure is a fine example of beaux art classical architecture. Its design was based on the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. The dome features a gold plated copper eagle with a fifteen-foot wingspan. This important building houses the state's legislative and government offices.
